Let’s go to the mall

Just like Robin Sparkles said, “Let’s go to the mall.”  Why?  Because right now is the time to go shopping.  Not for bikinis and board shorts, but for winter clothes.  Say what!?!?!  Yeah that’s right, I’m talking about shopping out of season.  You can save so much dough, cash,  and dolla dolla bills yall by picking up winter’s leftovers.  Every store is making room for their spring and summer collections and are putting winter clothes on clearance.  You can get up to 80% off!  If you’re particular about wearing what’s “in” just pick up the basics that don’t go out of style: solid sweaters, scarfs, jeans, jackets, turtlenecks (just kidding), and finger socks.  If you think Ugg’s will be in next year pick up a set of those bad boys.

Before you head to the mall, look up your favorite stores online to see what kind of deals they have going on.  You’ll know which stores to hit up and they might have some additional coupons to print out.

If you’re like me, and prefer to avoid the clans of teenagers and Chinese food solicitors,  just stay home with your snuggie and shop online.  Most stores will have the same, if not, better deals on their website.  I know my sizes at a few stores so it makes it easy to add to my wardrobe.  Also, let your friend, spouse, or sister know that you’ll be shopping on a site and maybe y’all can bulk up and save on some shipping costs.

Don’t be afraid to buy an item that you really, really want a size too big.  You may be able to buy it at a discount AND get it altered for less than the regular price.  Ask your friends who they’re using to tailor their clothes, it can save you a lot of money and heartbreak in the long run.

I hope you make it a great weekend and remember to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
